Three Fun Products We've Seen Around Charlotte
Working markets and pop-up shops for the past two and a half years means I've seen a lot of what Charlotte has to offer. While I'll never say I've seen it all, I've really seen a good bit of it. And to be honest, I love every candle, every necklace, and every bar of soap. I really do! Because each offering is unique to it's maker or owner, and that's all I need to love it.
But recently, I've seen some really great offerings around Charlotte markets that I think you'll find interesting. Three companies that are really doing something different around town that may be worth a visit just to see them.
1. Turkish Towels from Artisan Village Design. Ozlem, the owner, is a gem. Every time I get a chance to see her, I can't help but smile from ear to ear. Maybe that's part of the reason she does so well at pop-up markets. Ozlem visits her home country of Turkey once a year to source new designs from the makers who hand weave these stunning towels and blankets. You can find almost any color, pattern, and texture piled high on the tables she sets up at pop-ups. When you enter her booth, you really get the open air market feel.
2. Geometric jewelry from Ai to You. In a sea of jewelry styles throughout Charlotte, there are many who are finding unique ways to standout. Ai to You, named after the owner, Ai, is leading the way for minimalist jewelry here in the QC. What I love about this line is how Ai has found interesting ways of styling these pieces and some are even three dimensional. You walk up to her table and see a piece of jewelry you could've never imagined every. single. time.
3. Renewable Authentic Watches. When Lee first reached out to me about joining markets, I checked out his website and knew he'd be a killer addition to the group. His watches are insanely unique around Charlotte. RAW even takes it a step further and offers custom engraving on the back of the watch or on the strap of the leather. Lee's positive disposition and constant smile adds to RAW ten fold. I'm telling you, you'll love the product and the interaction.
